Hi everyone.

Been a lot of talk on the news about the bird flu hitting here in a few
months. Anyone out there got any idea on if ferrets or cats can get it?
Anyone preparing to keep them as safe as possible?

A friend of mine who works at IKEA is in charge of preparing the stores
for it. Hand wipes must have a minimum of 60 percent alcohol, I am told.
I have ordered those for friends and family. Obviously lots of hand
washing will be of help.

I have ordered 10 cases of gloves for friends and family. I am looking
into the best face masks.

I will not be allowing friends to visit here if the flu hits here badly
to keep us safe.

Any other suggestions?

I have asked other people, and they have literally laughed at me, saying
that the bird flu will not be a problem here. I am stunned by that
reaction.

What do you all think...in terms of the ferrets protection.??

Many thanks for any input.
Lisette
