The university of Guelph is now ready for testing!! Prices are a little
higher than we originally expected so you'll have to chat with your vet
to see what the total costs will be (vet visit, blood draw and sending to
Guelph). Price for the test itself will be $40 for the 1st 20 samples
and $2 for each additional sample. This works great for the shelter but
may not work so well for those of you who only have 1 or 2 ferrets.

Please check with your local vet for full costs of ADV testing and PLEASE
have your ferrets tested!!! As a heads up, next year's ferret frolic
will be deemed an ADV FREE frolic. ALL ferrets attending the frolic
will have to have papers accompanying them stating they have been tested
negative for ADV within one MONTH prior to the frolic.

Many American shelters have contacted me to see if Guelph would take
American samples for ADV testing. I have not heard back on this yet.
When I do know, I will post again.
