More poetry from Musty Pete
As I sit and ponder in front of my humble abode
I sometimes long for the 'days of old'
I wish to spend time and be able to see
my one true ferret love, by the name of Fancy.
Her coat so soft, surprisingly flaxen
our days were spent lovin' and relaxin'
in a cozy fleece hammie made for two
created with love for me and for you.
I miss your smile and your laughter
my time spent waiting in the here-after
I know in my heart, that come one day
we'll be reunited...soon I pray
Not so much for you, but for me
Waiting can sometimes be agony.
I have a long time to wait...
for Fancy, my soul mate
So I stay here to meet
all the new arrivals I greet
Changing their fears and sorrows
into joyous tomorrows
And wile away my days
in a variety of ways
in hopes that one day
You'll travel this way
Then my heart will be
for all of eternity
filled with a such glee
by the love of Fancy.
