Ist off you do not want to bath them once a month.  It will dry them out
and make their skin produce more oil and musk smell.  Mine only get baths
every 6 months unless poo stuck on them.  Also baby wipes works well for
in between clean ups.
 
I use baby shampoo or oatmeal type pet shampoo because it will not take
off any front line or advantage I use on mine for flea control.  I live
in Fl and fleas are here all the time.  So I use that to keep them from
getting any of our wonderful sand fleas.
