I wish this was a happy post but unfortunately it is not. I had placed
Eyore on the Ferret Giving Tree this past year in hopes of helping OTHER
ferrets to get a secret Santa. I received an e-mail from a woman in
Missouri saying she understood that Eyore was going to his new home but
wanted to send gifts to another ferret in my rescue. I had explained
that I had some senior ferrets that would love to receive some gifts and
she said great. She asked me what they would like, so I told her and she
said that she would be sending them out in about a week.
Well December 23rd came and there still was nothing for these older
babies so I e-mailed her and asked if they were sent. She explained that
they were, and that I should have received them by now and that she would
contact UPS to find out where the package was. She finally e-mailed me a
couple of days later and said the package was in Mass. The next day she
e-mailed me again to say now it was in Vermont. January 2nd I e-mailed
her to let her know that Butterscotch had passed New Years Eve and that
now he would never see the gifts we were STILL waiting for. She said she
would make sure that the package would be at my home soon to tell the
kids Santa had not forgotten about them. I e-mailed her again on January
16th to let her know that we had to help Casper to the bridge on the
14th. I had requested that she send me the name & contact number of
who she sent the package through with the tracking number so "I" could
contact them and complain. I still haven't received a response from her.
No one has ever tried to deliver this package to my home and it is now
January 18th. OK, I know I can be nieve sometimes, but I never dreamed
someone would do something like this!! Especially to a group of senior
ferrets that will never have a FOREVER home outside of our rescue! It
really burns me that there are people out there that would do something
like this!!
My rescue kids did get gifts from a young lady that comes to my groups
ferret shows and I'm eternally grateful to her. It just burns the hide
off of me that the gifts that were promised to be here for our seniors
never arrived.
Sorry about this but I needed to vent especially since Butterscotch
and Casper had gone to the bridge without the gifts that were promised
to them.
