I have a question. Actually a couple. If anyone can help me out, please
drop me a line. My brother is making a journey to Alaska for a couple
weeks and has heard there are a lot of ferrets there, unaltered ones. My
first question is, is this true? If he happens to come across any he
plans to buy a couple for our breeding stock. If he does, will there be
a big problem getting them from Alaska, across Canada, to North Dakota?
Thank you, any knowledge or opinions will be greatly appreciated.
[Canada should not be a problem, provided that you have vaccination
papers on entry. I do not believe that any province bans them, though
some counties might, and a couple of cities do. I suggest you contact
Customs and ask them for a contact with the proper authorities. M of
Agriculture? Health? I forget.]
