Our shelter was given a large Martin's chinchilla mansion so I found
someone locally who rescues chins.  She lives waaayy out in the desert.
I asked her how many she has, and she admitted to 280!  Many were babies.
I can't imagine that, but she said she breeds them to sell to raise
funds to rescue the pet shop ones that come in.  Makes sense, I guess.
