The last couple times that I have visited the local Petco store near
our home, both times I have found all water bottles in the ferret cages
completely EMPTY!
The first time it happened, I politely told the nearest store employee
and she summoned another employee within 5 minutes to fill them up. I
was placated that time, and left feeling I had done the little ferts a
good deed. Yesterday, a couple of weeks after the first incident, I
again noticed 7 ferrets in a cage with 4 water bottles - ALL BONE DRY & 2
had been knocked out of the bottle holders & were laying in the bedding.
Again I told the nearest clerk (coincidentally the exact same lady as the
first incident) and this time I was told "We water all the animals at the
same time and they'll be taken care of soon." I was very upset when I
left & have been worrying about those sweet thirsty fuzzies ever since.
Does anyone know who/where in Michigan I should report this to??? I'm
sorry to say I never inspected any of the other animal cages - I didn't
even think about it until today that I should have checked all of them.
Any suggestions????
