Hope heard of another shelter closing it's doors.  In the last few
months, we - the ferret community - have lost several very good shelters
and yet another is closing.  The stress and heartache that comes from
running a shelter is tremendous.  It takes a special person to open their
heart to this kind of pain.  Yes, there is joy....but the pain of losing
so many of these precious little creatures day after day, month after
month, year after year, eventually takes it toll.
 
Hope would like to ask everyone to take a break - right now - while
you're reading this - and thank a shelter Mom or Dad.  Just a note to
say thank you and to tell them you appreciate the sacrifices they make.
 
If you don't know a shelter Mom or Dad, write to Hope.  Hope knows many
of them and would be more than happy to provide you with a name.
