I live in Hudson Valley, NY and have an excellent very ferret savvy
vet up here.  Its about an hour north of NYC but shes excellent.  She
even has 10 or 11 ferrets of her own, so you know she loves them.
The clinics name is Community Animal Hospital on Titusville Rd,
Poughkeepsie/Lagrange, NY.  Tel # 845 471-7459.  My vet is Sandra
Kudrak.  She also often publishes articles for Ferret Magazine and she is
sponsoring the bill thru congress for better protection for selling and
shipping of small animals( forgive me i cant think of the real name of it
right now, nor the docket #).  She has saved my old Nibbles ferret more
than once and I wouldnt trust any other vet with my ferrets.  One of the
other male drs. in this clinic is also suppose to be excellent with
ferrets.  If your ferret is sick enough it may be worth the hours ride.
As fo prices, I cant comment on that because she is the only one I trust.
