On a chilly Colorado Sunday morning, two dozen or so Fur Parents lined up
across from the preconditioning pen containing a Black Footed Ferret mom
and her 5 adopted kits. The Mom was the smallest of them and the most
reserved; the kits, nearly grown and healthy under her care. The kit's
large bright eyes seemed to be joyfully drinking in the wonder that is
life.

The kits seem to be struggling between their curiosity about the
visitors and their instinct to avoid such large, noisy, and funny
spelling creatures (which have the weirdest looking fur).
[Yup, many funny spelling creatures write to the FML! BIG]

Two of these strangely acting creatures - a silvering older ferret named
grandpaferret and his juvenile offspring, crystalferret - looked at the
six beautiful "pointed" pattern coated creatures, and their k-9 less
faces lighted up with pleasure, joy, and wonder; the pair pointed at the
six dark tipped happily dancing long lithe bodied critters and softly
spoke the only word that could convey what it was they were feeling at
the moment:

    "DOOOOOOOK!!!!!!!"

As if in reply, one of the most curious of the BFF kits darted toward the
line of cotton furred bipeds and then back to his brothers and sisters,
again and again, dart and retreat, dart and retreat... as if he were
pointing to the line of smelly murmuring bipeds... and listening closely
one could just make out this joyful creature laughingly murmur his reply,
as he pointed:

"KOOKS!"

Paul and Travis hastily shushed the joyfully exuberant (if excessively
honest) creature:

    "Shhhhhhhhhh..... They want to help!"

----
From Al and Crystal - thanks to Linda, Judy, Paul, and Travis for a
wonderful and memorable "Forum at the Fort!" for all who were privileged
to attend.
