Even though I am the proud owner of a beautiful sable male who is
considered a fear biter, I will admit that my worse bite came from dear
sweet Artemus. Arty was only a few week old. A beautiful DEW boy with
shiny green eyes. My son was on the sofa eating some honey BBQ wings
when Arty climbed up to invest agate the new smell. He seemed interested
so my son offered him a small piece of gristle and Arty ate it with
delight. He became impatient to be offered another piece so he rushed
the bowl and snatched a whole bone and took off. Knowing that the cooked
chicken bone would not be a good thing I scuffed Arty and took the bone
away. As I put Arty down he made another dive for the bone but instead
caught my thumb and drove his sharp baby K9 in between the nail and the
flesh.

Needless to say I think the whole neighborhood heard me yell. Arty's
jaws were locked so I ran to the kitchen sink and the fists splash of
water he let go. My son took him while I tended to my thumb and set
him in his cage with a small bowl of chicken gristle.
