I have not had a lot of experience with cleaning/maintaining laminate.
My daughter in law has it through out their home. It is about 7 year
old, and has survived 3 teens and all their friends.
Hers is not Pergo, but another brand recommended by the contractor
because the material used underneath provided a better surface and seal.
I'm told that this material is more important than the surface. Hers
is also *repairable* should a area be damaged.
She chose to put sheet vinyl in the bathrooms, as the floor guy said the
laminate seams would *bloom* if water was left standing. Ever see what
a teenager can do to a bathroom just taking a shower? Scary.
