Christmas is past, and we are all looking forward to 2006.
Just thought I'd get the New Year off on a good note and let you all know
where I'll be.
Also, as I ALWAYS plan to get my FML cards out early, AND I NEVER make
it, here is my New Year greeting ON TIME.
Here is my schedule for the year 2006 sung to the tune of
I've Been Working on the Railroad
I'll be working in the Hospice,
All the live long day,
Cleaning out the litterboxes,Just to pass the time away.
Can't you hear the ferrets dooking,
Waking up so early in the morn,
Can't you hear the ferrets dooking
Give us ferretone.
Chorus: Give us ferretone, give us ferretone
Give us ferretooooone,
Give us ferretone, give us ferretone,
Give us ferretone.
The Ferretone is in the kitchen
Cheerio's and raisins too,
The bleach and water's been a waiting
I'm a little overdue.
A bag of litter I'm a totin'
A bucket in my other hand,
Trudging up the kitchen walkway
I hear that dooking band.
You've been working hard all night, guys,
Poop is everywhere,
I'll just put that bag I'm totin'
On the shelf right over there.
Let me get my rubber gloves on
Let me get a cup of Joe,
Get into your hammocks, fuzzies,
This mess has got to go.
Now the room is clean and shiny,
No poop is anywhere.
The air is sweet and fresh again
But my hands need extra care.
My knees are red and sore and calloused
My hair smells musky to,
My shirt has ferret footprints on it,
And my buckets full of doo.
Another day of work is ending,
The sun is sinking low.
My ferrets have all been a nappin'
For the night shift when I go.
I close the hospice door behind me,
The ferrets stretch and yawn,
There's litter boxes out there waiting
That must be filled by dawn.
Happy New Year everyone
