Dear Good Ferret People,
 
I just took a phone call from Cheryl Clark who evacuated from New Orleans
with her 6 ferrets (one of whom, Honey Baby, she adopted from us years
ago).  Some kind soul provided a ride out when she decided that they had
to leave, water was rising above the level of the dining room table they
were standing on.  She is at the Ameristar Hotel, Vickburg, Mississippi
where the Red Cross is providing a 4 day stay.
 
Is there anyone in the area who can help her?  I have offered her and
the ferrets shelter here in Kansas City but she has no transportation
and, although she has opened a checking account, as instructed by FEMA,
they have not yet provided the promiced "direct deposit".
 
I know Cheryl as someone who always puts her ferrets first.  I also know
that she will appreciate anything you can do to help.  She, and they,
