Someone asked for the term to describe a group of ferrets (like a flock of
geese..). According to the Oxford English Dictionary it is a "business of
ferrets". Business had a very different meaning back then (this is the late
1400's) - something closer to chaos and disorder (maybe it still means the
same thing :-) ).
Our "business of ferrets" is doing very well. One has discovered that she can
climb inside of vertically oriented mailing tubes. The others are too fat
for such games these days as they are nearly at Winter weight.
