Thanks so much to all of you who have responded with offers of help for
Cheryl Clark. The ferret community has come through again!
As things stand now Cheryl apparently has access to the FEMA funds and
she intends to buy a car that will get her out here to Kansas City. She
also has funds for gasoline, although Danee reminds me that fuel may be
in short supply and difficult to get. )I wonder if cars will also be
difficult to get.) To those of you who have offered to shelter her
ferrets, she if strongly resisting being separated from them, as would
the rest of us. So if we can keep the family together we do that.
Cheryl is an interesting person who prefers action to feeling sorry for
herself. She is a tall, older, woman who has frequently earned a living
dealing Black Jack. She may be able to find work here, as she has in the
past, at the casinos. One thing at a time.
Again, thanks to all of you who are thinking of her, offering help, and
wishing her well. If you have e-mailed me and I haven't replied directly
I will soon.
Bobbi McC. <+:-)
