I have a 7 year old that has really been worrying me. A few months ago
he had bad diahrrea and lost a lot of weight. They put him on flagyl,
amoxyl, and carafate for helicobacter. he got better and had normal
stool and then took a turn for the worse and would vomit after eating
one piece of food. i syringed him turkey baby food for 8 weeks and he
eventually began eating on his own. He has never gained back the weight
or returned to his normal self. Now, he has redeveloped chronic diahrrea
and often wakes up and messes his blanket. He stumbles around and lays
down a lot and really worries me. I also just moved into a new
apartment(yesterday) so that stress is on him to. Is is possible he
redeveloped helico? I am going to see a local vet if i can find one
where i live now and try to get some more meds and possibly a fecal test
done. What could this be? anything i should be suspectful of? thanks
