My ferrets have a long, narrow cardboard box (a Star Wars lightsaber was
shipped to me from QVC in it) that Anakin used to go into and have a ball
thumping in.  It was great because you could hear it.  When sister Kahlua
got near the opening, he would go absolutely crazy with the thumping!
He would also lie between our one end table and the wall and thump when
anyone walked by.  I used to reach back there and get him wound up when
he was wagging and that would increase it 100 times.  He would get so
loud, I loved it.
 
Kahlua will go into the dryer tube and when I run my fingers along the
outside and make the wire 'ribbing' move along her body, she will wag.
I say wag since the plastic is soft and it doesn't make the thump noise.
It is still hilarious to watch, since the tube is clear.  I have waited
till she gets near the end and I try to 'peak' and 'scare' her, but that
doesn't make her wag.  It's only when I run my fingers along it.
 
Ferrets are crazy.  Few things are funnier than a wagging or thumping
ferret.
