First of all our sincere condolences to all of you who have recently lost
a ferret.  Our sincere sympathy to you.
 
My new kid, "Patsy" has been an inspiration and I don't know what I would
have done without him after my losses of Winta2 and Rocky.  Patsy is a
Panda/ Blaze and has stolen my heart with his wild, playful ways.  He is
deaf also and is my first ferret to ever be deaf.  I was shocked to be
standing over him in the cage and trying to even yell to see if he could
hear, he definately cannot.  He is so much fun and different it seems
from the others I have had as babies.  We have a game where I clap my
hands and he comes running, jumps into my arms, I catch him, put him on
the floor on his side curled up and slide him across the ceramic floor.
He keeps coming back for more and absolutely loves this game as well as
towel rides and head dunking in his water bowls.  He has had me in
stitches with his antics.  He seems to love to do this thing that I call
the "alligator roll", like an alligator in water rolling around in the
water fighting.  I am trying to associate it with my finger in a roll
over circle to teach him to roll over.  He dooks normally and does all
the other noises like a normal ferret.  He loves our cats and plays with
them and vice versa.  He will also fall asleep on my chest after hours of
play when I lay on the couch.  He is also an unbelievable chewer.  I have
never had a ferret chew so much.  All wires are up and away.  My sister
bought him a small "doggie greenie" which is like a nyla bone.  He loves
them as well as cheweasels and foamy fries which I fasten to his cage to
keep him busy when he is in at night.
