Coming from Australia to be at the Symposium is very exciting for me, but
I have a question.

I have always called St Louis, St Loo-ee. Several times over the last
few weeks, my son & I have seen movies and news items on TV about St
Louis and it has been pronounced St Loo-iss without exception.

Now I know that the correct pronunciation for any place is how the locals
say it.

So how do the locals pronounce St Louis?

Looking forward to seeing you in St Louis no matter how you say it.

Shirley
