Ferrets are obligate carnivores.  As Kim correctly wrote, they are NOT
omnivores.  The genus name "Mustela" actually reflects their diet.  It
means "Mouse spear".  I suggest that anyone who is getting confused on
this score hit the many reputable references out there.
