I don't often write to the FML though I have been an avid reader for
many years. Today though I am feeling scared and I could use some
support. My little boy Kiwi has become anemic at only 10 months of age.
Since Kiwi came to my home as a foster he has been constantly on the go
and in trouble. Soon after his arrival he become a permanent part of
my family. What a character he is. Over the last month I noticed him
slowing down a bit and I actually breathed a sigh of relief thinking that
he was finally growing out of his kit hood. Then I noticed that his nose
was getting pale and I knew that something was wrong. I have owned and
fostered many ferrets over the years and I have been through almost every
kind of ferret illness there is but I admit to being very scared this
time.
Kiwi's vet thinks it may be adrenal related, I refuse to think about it
being anything else, and so he will be getting exploratory surgery next
Wednesday (Dec 7th). I was hoping you could all send your thoughts and
some positive energy his way on this day. It would mean a lot to Kiwi
and to me.
Thank you.
