well...my 2 cents worth is:
 
1)...i was mostly raised by my grandmother who was born and raised in
Floresville, Texas...so i was raised on "y'all" and "sure 'nough"...
 
2) y'all is short for "you all" ... so using proper spelling for
contractions...it would be spelled"
