As you where not in his situation, you can not say that he is not
interested in the welfare of his animals at least he sold on what he
could at a minimum price and he had the choice of selling the old animals
or selling them as pelts, so he chose to pelt them have you asked why he
did it? I don't think so not many people think along those lines.

So like many others you are willing to condemn the him for what he has
done without first contacting him to find out what was going to happen to
the old animals, from what I have read it seems that most people were
only interested in young health animals, how many people can you name who
contacted him with the express wish just to take on the sick and the old.

Since he has now moved on have you been in touch with him to say that
in the future you will take all his old animals to save them from being
pelted and if you are prepared to take his old animals in the future have
you or anyone been in touch with him to say that you will take these
animals?

I am not for fur coats on humans as a fashion statement, but I would
rather see that than have these animals end up in home where they maybe
abused because for the past 7 or 8 years they have never spent time in
human accommodation.
