The FML archives are still searchable, as always, at:
http://listserv.cuny.edu/archives/ferret-search.html

BUT... e-mail addresses no longer appear when the "public" view the
archives. All e-mail addresses, both in the body of the posts and in
the "From:" line are replaced with the words "<login to unmask>". This
is to prevent spammers from harvesting e-mail addresses either from the
archives directly or via search engines such as google.

The option to view addresses still exists but the trick is that you have
to ask for a "listserv(r) password" associated with your e-mail address
and then log in to the server with it. Once you do that you'll be able
to see the archives with e-mail addresses. A "Log in" link has been
added to all the appropriate pages -- click that, then click on "Change
Password" to set up a password for yourself if you have the need to see
e-mail addresses in the archives.

Once again this password validation stuff is necessary ONLY if you need
to see e-mail addresses in the archived posts. You can still search as
always without using a password.

Bill
