Hey All!
I hope all of your holidays went great. I was so sad to hear about
Gordon's Byte-me and of the shelters condemned house.
Anyway, I just wanted to report that my first attempt at a Chicken Gravy
spin off went pretty good! We had a whole chicken a couple days ago and
I saved all the stuff that was going to get thrown away (bones.. extra
meat.. carcass)... and well i boiled it for a while today.. and then
took all the soft parts and meaty parts off... and boiled the rest even
longer... then i got more soft parts and put it in the blender, and added
a bit of kibble, some ferret vite, milk replacer, and a whole egg (shell
and all)... and made a mush. then boiled the bones more so that i could
chop most of them (except the really big ones.. i only got the ends of
those) and then blended that and the mush together... and voila! chicken
gravy... now my ferrets are not big on meat (much to my utter dismay)..
so I was a bit worried about whether they would even try this stuff, but
they started lapping at it almost right away. They aren't gobbling it
down but they lap at it! YAY!!! That's one success story among many of
dead blenders!
Have a fuzzy day!
- Jules
