I've been using Midwest cages for several years now and really like them.
A company called Kritter Koncepts, a ferret rescue, makes a retrofit kit
that is perfect for ferrets. the kits comes with 1 floor with a trap
door and two shelves.
When my two oldest girls were having healthy problems they could still
navigate the ramps on the cage. Even when Phoebe lost the use of her
hind legs she could still climb up to the second level and get into
her hammock.
