Hi Tracy ~
I've been away for awhile, but read your post. I work with herbs and
pets. By making a weak cup of tea of chammomile (the ingredient in
sleepy time tea) from the grocery store, and a few drops(5) of calendula
tincture from your health food store you can make a gentle warm wash.
If your ferrets don't like baths, just gently take a wash cloth and
dribble some of the wash over them twice a day. Calendula is a number
one herb for all skin problems. By making a diluted wash it will not
hurt if they lick it and you won't get the problems you get with creams.
Warmly ~
