NIBBLES RAFFLE - Frontier Ferrets Rescue and Shelter(Wyoming and Utah)
 
If you read the email last week you would have learned about these two
wonderful ferrets that came into the shelter with Frontier Ferrets.  They
are currently at the foster moms, Mary Hogan, in Utah.  I've been to this
house..  I know this wonderful woman who gives of herself to these kids
every day of her life.  She's an amazing woman.  but of course if you
tell her that she'll just say that the ferrets are amazing.  not her.
 
The vet said that Nibbles needs to have surgery as soon as possible.
Nibbles is about 6 years old, adrenal, insulinomic, blind due to
cataracts in both eyes, has walking difficulties and at some time in her
life her tail was broken and it is now quite crooked.  But these things
have not stopped her from wanting to get around to check things out.
 
The vet thinks she is still a surgical candidate but we need the funds to
get the surgery done.  Since the shelter is technically closed we are
strapped for funds (all adoptables are taken in and then routed to other
shelters but they will take in ferrets that AC calls them about or are
referred to them that cannot be adopted out).  The surgery there in Utah
is around $450.
 
UPDATE:
Nibbles is doing great with her foster mom Mary.  She even crawled up
into the bed with her last night.  That is.  NIBBLES crawled into MARYS
bed.  I just don't think Mary would have fit in Nibbles bed!  Nibbles
decided that Mary needed to be groomed at 3 am.  So.  hair, face, arms.
all nice and clean.

(PS---- if there is money left over from this.  it will go towards Oscars
check up and for the vet care for other ferrets that come into the
shelter.  There are NO accounts at the vets.  It is a pay as you go.  So
putting a + in there would be wonderful.  but right now we just want to
make sure that Nibbles surgery is covered.)
