Hector has gone to join Florence.  He was one of only two of the
Morehouse 17, who was cared for enough to have been given a name.  He
would have been 6 years old in November.
 
Even Benita, who has nursed the most seemingly hopeless cases back to
health, couldn't save him.  The overwhelming change from the only
existence he had ever known & his low blood sugar, was most likely
compounded by the loss of his cagemate & protector, Florence.  He just
seemed to have given up.  Benita said he just never got back his spark.
