Hello all ~
I have been asked to make up an herbal formula for IBD.=A0 I decided to
make a tea as the little fuzzies with IBD already have digestive problems
and I didn't want to make an alcohol tincture.
The formula is as follows:
Chamomile - astringent to inhibit excess fluid in the intestinal tract,
and one of the more gentle astringents;
Rose hips - helps firm up stool and delivers vitamin C;
Mullein - nutritive, attaches to mucous and draws it from the body;
Marshmallow root - soothing to damaged tissues
The tea is an organic mix and comes with instructions. For list members
we can sell it for $10.00 for 2 ounces. Two ounces should last you
for months. You would stop using it when stools are firmer and other
symptoms are gone. If your fuzzy has a component of gas and bloating
please let me know and I'll add a bit of fennel in there.
To order it you can put "IBD herbs" in the subject line and let me know
if your fuzzy has gas and/or diarrhea. Then I need the following:
ferret weight, size, age, current meds, diagnosis from vet.
As these herbs are fresh please let me know asap.
Warmly ~
Mary Conley
