So, for the second half of my Labor Day weekend, I worried over my little
girl Ziya, who'd stopped eating and started vomiting instead (not 8
weeks after her ulcer treatment). Can we say "blockage"? *sigh* Another
milestone of ferret ownership reached... In approx. 8 years of owning
ferrets, this was the first intestinal surgery.

She went into surgery this afternoon, came out of it OK about an hour
later, and is more alert tonight than she was for the previous day and
a half... Tomorrow morning I am supposed to start her on Carafate and
soft food (for a second time, but a different reason ;-)

Hope everyone else and their fuzzies had a happier, healthier, more
peaceful Labor Day than Ziya and I did!

(And any prayers and good thoughts for Ziya's poor sore tummy are much
appreciated!)
