Amy said "Chickenpox vaccine, that is one of the newer ones. Let the
child develop natural immunity to it." Amy have you ever seen anyone with
shingles? It is a mutated form of the Chicken Pox virus. The people who
have had Chicken Pox have problems with it when they have immune system
problems later on, as this mutated virus lays dormant in your body until
you are suseptable to it. How do I know that? My Grandmother had
shingles after a bout with cancer. Very painful, very very painful. I
wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Every thing we do has risks, I feel
the possible risks of the vaccination far outweigh the risks of not being
vaccinated, humans and animals. And yes I have seen a child who was in
the low percentile of those who had one of the possible risks happen
(brain damage), but his mother even tho' it was heart breaking, felt it
was still the right thing for parents to do because the horrors and
ravages of the diseases to many outweighed the awful thing that happened
to a very few. (Maybe someday they can make a test that will tell you
if your child is one of the few that will react to the vaccine in a non
normal way.)

I know it won't change your mind but those are my observations in real
life situations, and I refuse to let paranoia over the "possible" risks
of vaccinations rule my decisions regarding the health and welfare of my
children and pets. I'm just expressing my opinion, we are all allowed
our opinions. You can choose to do what you think is best and I will do
the same, even tho they may not be the same choices.
