Howdy Folks,

Monday afternoon I had a meeting at Arborland Border's bookstore in Ann
Arbor MI. Jayne, my wife, went with me and thought she could check out
some shoes and stuff until my meeting was finished.

Afterwards we went into PetCo to buy some Ferret Lax and other
necessities.

When I entered the store I happened to look at the empty weezil cage. It
was being cleaned by one of the staff. I thought, "Dang, where are the
fuzzies?"

About that time I heard some scratching noises emanating from a cardboard
box....

POP! out comes a little fuzzy head,

POP! Another!

POP! AGAIN!....

Knowing better, I asked the girl cleaning if she would mind if I held one
of the little squirts...

I pick up this wee, wee, wee, little gal with a little brown button nose,
who immediately began to slurp my face off! What a sweetie! I proceeded
to repeat this process two more times with mixed results...

OWWW! Bite!

OWWW! Scratch! Bite!

I then saw another shadowy figure moving around in the box and reached
in and picked it up. Here is this almost three pound "baby" boy who
immediately begins to kiss my face, nose and anything else he can reach!
What a pudge! He is too cool! I remember seeing him in June when Cathy
of SE Michigan Ferret Rescue and Deb of Deb's Ferret Rescue and Boarding
in Montague MI were there with their ferts. This guy had been in this
little cubicle since the end of May! Nobody wanted him...

I put him down and walked away knowing if I didn't the temptation would
win. I then hear Jayne say, "hey, John, the fuzzies are on sale this
week for $99! I thought "Don't tell me that!" Then I hear her say, "Hon,
there is a sign here saying the "big" ferret is another 30% off." Well,
I guess you know the rest of the story...

We are now owned by another fuzz butt, he is Ezekiel, "Zeke" is his
nickname. He is 2 lb 12 oz, chocolate sable, and is 16 weeks old.

What a sweet boy!

He sure is ecstatic to be FREE!!!

"Weezil 500" all around the house, sure does my soul good to see such a
display of total unadulterated freedom!

Dooks,
John, Jayne and the Boys-
Oscar, Rascal, Rogue, Ruckus,
Samuel, Toebitus and Zeke!
