Anytime after 12 weeks of age (3 months) is appropriate for the rabies
vaccine, according to the manufacturer's label.

Kits have only received one CD vaccine from the commercial farm around 6
weeks of age, so they will need more than just one CD vaccine once they
reach the pet store and are purchased.  Kits require a series of 3 canine
distemper vaccines at 8, 11 & 14 or 9, 12 & 15 weeks of age.  If they are
over 16 weeks of age or don't have a vaccination history, then 2 CD
vaccines given 2 - 4 weeks apart would protect them.
 
>Breeder kits usually get first set of shots about 8 weeks of age, second
>set of shots (or booster) is done 3 weeks later.  Then rabies at 16 weeks

Actually, the majority of breeders follow the 8, 11 & 14 week rule for CD
vaccinations.
