I've been enjoying the stories about the wonderful things the FML has
done for the ferret community. I would like to share what it has done
and is doing for me.

When I moved to PA temporarily, I had a shelter lined up to foster my
kids because my housing didn't allow pets. This shelter didn't work out
for me and my ferrets. When I told the list that I had to look for a new
home, people came out of the woodwork to help me look for a foster home.
Someday, I will write about everything they have done for me. Today, I
would like to tell you about my situation right now.

Jaclyn wrote me to say she would be willing to foster my kids in a town
just 30 minutes away. I visit them everyday, and we have lots of time
to play.

In the short time my ferrets have lived there, I have been unofficially
adopted by her family. Her mother-in-law took me to see the Chesapeake
Bay because she knew I'd never seen it. Tonight, they invited me to stay
for a BBQ and to go to the fireworks with their friends and family. Her
father invited me to go riding at his farm. They have welcomed me into
their home with open arms. I appreciate it so much because I knew no one
when I got here, and still wouldn't know anyone if it weren't for them.

Unfortunately, one of their fuzzies, Fred, had to be helped over the
bridge today. Fred was a sweet old ferret, but his time with us was
over. He will be greatly missed, but they will see him again at the
rainbow bridge someday. I would like to thank them for their generosity
by sponsoring a shelter ferret in Fred's name.

I only hope that when someone in need turns to me, I will be as kind and
caring as they have been to me.

Jess
