Actually furosemide (Lasix) can raise blood glucose levels. Thus I
don't think it is the furosemide causing the hypoglycemia! There are
alot of other diuretics that can be used with or instead of lasix.
Proglycem (diazoxide) can be increased to help with the low blood
glucose. Baby food or a/d can be used to help raise the glucose level.
Enacard (enalapril) or benazepril can be used to help with the heart
problem. Plus an ultrasound of the heart will help to diagnosis the
heart problem.
