This is for all the fur-persons who have gone ahead, on their spirit's
journeys. For everyone's beloved fur-friends, and for our more recent
losses at the Ferret And Dove Sanctuary, Inc. For Sloppy Joe-Joe ferret,
for Falcor Luckdragon ferret, and now for little
Fabulous Flossie Ferret, latest victim of metastacised cancer. It was
written by an American Native who chose to remain unknown, but has its
impact true and deep, in our hearts.
Don't stand by my grave and weep
For I am not there.
I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond's glint on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
In the soft hush of the morning light
I am the swift bird in flight.
Don't stand by my grave and cry,
I am not there,
I did not die.
