Just from experiences with my own ferrets, I've discovered that when one
of them suddenly starts licking me or nibbling at me all the time, they
are usually trying to tell me something. There is something they want
or something wrong somewhere. When one of my babies, (also named Pooh),
needs hairball remedy, he will get up in my lap and start licking me and
coughing at me. It's actually pretty funny. My husband accuses him of
faking the cough just to get the hairball medicine. My ferrets love my
husband too, but they see me as the mommy. So when something is
bothering them, it is always me that they come to and try to communicate
that something is wrong.

I think your baby is trying to tell you something. It's hard to say what
he might be trying to convey, but has anything else changed recently?
More lethargic than usual? Changes in appetite or potty behavior? Look
for other signs. It may be time for a visit to the vet.
