I got a brochure in the mail the other day about an IRS sponsored
workshop for small and mid-sized tax-exempt organizations.  It's a one
day workshop that costs $30 and is being held in several cities around
the country over the next few months, including Houston, San Francisco,
Cleveland, Arlington VA, Fort Lee NJ, and Charlotte NC.
 
The agenda is

Session Two - Unrelated Business Income for Exempt Organizations
Session Three - Employment Issues
Session Four - Understanding and Completing Form 990 (Part 1)
Session Four - Understanding and Completing Form 990 (Part 2

Sounds like a good workshop for shelters who have or are thinking of
