I was at Walgreens tonight, and they had something called Insta-Gluclose.
Each tube was 31 grams total, had 24 grams of carbs, and the first
ingredient was liquid gluclose. The rest was cherry flavor and
preservatives, etc. I was wondering if anyone had used this for a ferret
with insolinoma, or if anyone thought it was ok to use. Obviously, you
wouldn't use the whole tube, a human is supposed to use the whole tube
to get their sugar up. Trinas blood sugar crashed a couple weeks ago, I
used Nutrical and honey, then when she started opening her mouth more, I
gave her some prednisone. Her blood sugar was pretty much up to normal
when I got her to the vets. Would the insta-gluclose be better, or
should I stick to what I used before? Maybe this is something new we
could use to bring them back up. Any thoughts?
