For those of you who are waiting for the release of the Merial Purevax
backorder......I have some bad news.  After stringing us along now for
months, Merial has decided that right now they are making more money
with dog and cat products to use any vaccine production resources for
ferret vaccine.  As of now there will be no vaccine.  It is on backorder
indefinitely.  If that was going to be their stand, they should have
let us know months ago,not string everyone along with promises of "the
beginning of August".  It is now the beginning of August and to call
today only to be told, sorry, the backorder is now idefinite....... It
is beyond poor customer service.
 
I would encourage vets and their clients to write to Merial and let them
know how the ferret community feels about their handling of this.
