Situation:

My Fiance has moved into my apartment with her 6 yo dog. The dog has a
very high prey drive and cannot be in the same room as the ferrets. I
have spent the last six months trying to get them to like each other to
no avail. As a result, the ferrets have gotten very little time outside
the cage. Usually they are only out when the dog is outside on a walk or
something. Their quality of life has significantly diminished. It truly
breaks my heart to give them up for adoption but the most important thing
to me is their happiness and safety.

The Ferts:

Two beautiful girls of about 2 years of age. I got them from a rescue
shelter in July of 2002. Their names are Trinity and Cassidy. When I
adopted them they were called 'The Sharks' because they loved to bite. I
had made great progress with them before the pup came along. Now they
have relapsed with the lack of attention and time outside the cage. They
love to chase cats and dogs and are absolutely fearless. They are very
healthy except Trinity has lost a little fur on her tail. I think it
might be nerves. She has had a couple of close calls recently... Email
me for a picture of them.

Prospective Parents:

They will need experienced parents who want a rewarding challenge. The
ferts are smart and trainable and someone with experience will have fun
training them. I think it could be best if they are around other ferrets
that are good influences on them. I suspect that Cassidy only bites
because Trinity does. I have a cage that can go with them but I have
had it for 14 years (I've had ferrets before these two) and its seen its
share of abuse. Its a 3 story condo. I also have other various ferret
hammocks, travel bag, spare travel cage, toys, and such.

I live in Tampa but I will deliver them anywhere in Florida to a good
home. I don't want any money just a guarantee of a happy home for the
girls.
