Well I hope it's not abnormal as several of my ferrets have done this!
 
Cassie is my best example.  As a kit, the left side of her nose was dark,
the right pink.  Over time, the dark retreated until it was just an
outline of the upper left quadrant.  At the same time, a spot appeared
right smack dab in the middle of her nose, and grew bigger and darker.
 
Then the center spot started fading and the left side spot grew darker
and larger.
 
Right now, almost the whole left side of her nose is dark, and there is
a slightly lighter spot in the middle.
 
Two other ferrets who started with pink noses became mottled at about
3-4 years old.
