Ya know....everyone is entitled to an opinion, even if it is a might
left of reality.
But..to come out and say something is dangerous, when, in fact, there
is no proof that it is, is just downright irresponsible. We have too
many new people who read this list and hang on to every word, because
we are supposed to be 'in the know', so when they read something that
is presented as fact, they leave with some very wrong ideas.
If vasoline were so bad, how come the vets around the world, aren't
reporting widespread maladies, attributed to its use? How come humans
aren't flocking to the doctor's offices with vasoline caused problems.
The reason is, vasoline is NOT dangerous, nor harmful.
In fact, I would hazard a guess that more people and animals are harmed
by holistic and herbal medicine each year, than has been caused by
vasoline in its entire history of usage.
I don't remember who it was, but several years ago, there was a lively
discussion about the use of herbs for treatment of various ailments in
ferrets and the one thing that has stuck in my mind was the comment that
we simply don't know the proper dosages to give to a ferret. Hells
bells, we are creating havoc with human health because we don't know
proper dosages of herbs and potions for ourselves!
But..I digress...If any people wish to offer an opinion about some
favorite remedy they might have, fine, but please, do not come out and
hang an erroneous hazard warning on something that is solely an opinion
and has no basis of fact from study. All you do is discredit yourself.
