Dear FMLers,
 
I know that I'm not associated with SOS or Metro Ferret or any of the
other ferret help organizations, but I have my own reasons for that.
However, I am currently working on a major placement for over 40 guys
because the shelter I volunteer for is closing its doors and liquidating.
I've found outlets and homes for almost all of the fuzzies, but I need
some financial help with one issue: Distemper Vaccinations.
 
I administer the vaccines myself, two ferrets at a time, and watch
closely for reactions.  I also pretreat with benadryl.  I currently have
enough vaccines for about ten of the ferrets, but I need some funds to
take care of the others.  If anyone could open there heart and donate
even $5.00 it would help.  Or if any of the Shelter Helper groups could
make a donation I would appreciate it.  From JeffersPet, it cost about
$40.00 for ten, but it might be cheaper when you buy more than one case
at once.  The major cost comes from the shipping of biologicals.  I also
need to purchase the syringes.  Overall, it looks like I need about $120.
 
I would also like to thank all of the rescues and people who have offered
to take in these fuzzies, and my Petco for allowing me to bring fuzzies
there for adoption.  In one week, I was able to place almost all of the
homeless ferrets.  Its amazing what animal lovers will do to save a life.
