Hey all,
It has been quite a while since my last visit here so I will remind you
all who I am:
My name is Maya, I'm from Israel and I am the proud parent of two ferrets
(and two cats). Hooker (yes that's her name) is with us for nearly 3
years, she's spayed and quite fat, but otherwise healthy. Last January
two brought along Nazgul, an adult ferret ~4 years old, again castrated
very healthy and active. We were hoping they would get along in time,
but they still keep fighting.
It seems as if she's a bit afraid of him when she sees he's looking at
her she usually turns and run (which normally makes him come after
her...) When they find themselves in the same hideout, the next thing
would be a fight. It looks like he is the one attacking but she also
fires back (and hardly ever run away). Sometimes when he bites her,
she would scream/screech hard and in some of those cases she might
even secrete faeces and piss during the fight! We can't find real
open wounds on either one of them, but we do see remains of small cuts
(usually surrounding her neck)
They have been sharing the same room for 4 months (but not sleeping
together), is it possible they are still fighting on territory? how
can we make them friends?
Maya
