Subject:
force feeding...how long?

I have a 5 year old male who recently had a few lumps removed (mammary
tumors). He has not wanted to eat and had become dehydrated. We are
giving him fluids every 12 hours (30 ml) and are force feeding him thin
duck soup every 4 hours. He is acting normal (his energy has returned
since his hydration is near normal)....but he will eat very little of the
duck soup on his own and NO kibble. This little fellow is usually a PIG,
so I am wondering how longs folks have had to force feed after surgery.
He had a complete blood test and xrays to rule out anything else going
on...all results were ok.

thanks a million!
deb and wing-nut!
