Awhile back there was some discussion as to whether or not ferrets,
and pets in general, need annual vaccination updates.  I missed the
conclusion of the group and opinions of our valuable vets.  Human
vaccines seem to last awhile.  (otherwise we'd have to get a whole series
of shots every single year to keep from getting polio and measles and
stuff).  My guys are due for their annual shots next month.  I HATE
putting them in danger of the allergic reactions that some ferrets seem
to have.  Has anyone done a study on exactly how long the vaccine works?
Must I get them shots every single year?  There is no rabies in our area
and hasn't been for years.  They have all had one shot only, except Kiki,
who I've had for 2 years now.  (they had no reaction except some lethargy
afterwards).
